MINDWORD, Inc. (CEO Fumiaki Sugaya, hereinafter "MW") and EMUS International Co., Ltd. (CEO Midori Ikeda, hereinafter "EMUS") will exhibit a prototype of a simultaneous interpretation system* that utilizes AI at TIFFCOM 2023.

 
*This system utilizes technology licensed from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology and research and development on "Advancement of Multilingual Translation Technology" commissioned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

 
MW, engaged in research and development of machine translation and interpretation, will showcase a prototype of a Japanese-English automatic interpretation system.
This system automatically interprets input audio in real-time, displays it as text, and reads it aloud using synthetic speech.
MW will collaborate with EMUS, which boasts 30 years of experience in video translation, to adapt the automatic interpretation system for video content, aiming to achieve real-time subtitles and dubbing for broadcasts and live streaming.
 
With technical support from MW, EMUS already offers QuAILoX, an AI-based subtitling/dubbing service.
 
<TIFFCOM>
TIFFCOM is a content market held concurrently with the Tokyo International Film Festival. Various content holders, mainly in television and animation, gather for business with buyers from around the world. TIFFCOM 2023 runs from Wednesday, October 25 to Friday, October 27.
